“What’s the worst that could happen…” #WTWTCH

The 1st piece about the #Nhlamulo experience

Come on…!
What’s the worst that could happen?

Six words, a popular phrase…
One commonly used to encourage action

‘Tata MaChance – Seize the Moment!
It’s your time to Act, to Shine, to Live’

What’s the worst that could happen…

Make that Dough
#BumpTheCheeseUp
From BedRoom to BoardRoom
From the Kitchen to BattleStation

What’s-The-Worst-That-Could-Happen…

the worst… is often not considered
Rather we consider the immediate gratification
We want it and cannot allow any unforeseen hindrances
They are UNFORESEEN after all
‘Live today and tomorrow will take care of itself’

What’s the worst that could happen…

To a Parent – Losing your child
To a Traditionalist Parent - Losing your Son

A child is born BUT, A son is Given
Not earned – Not deserved-Not even bought
But Simply a Gift

Funny thing about gifts… they are really not completely Given
The giver always includes the fine-print of terms & conditions

Something like…
“This gift is not to be re-issued
This gift can only be used by you and intended parties
Don’t give it to the kids to play with, only you can
This gift is a sign of my love and adoration and potentially my frustration with you
You must place this gift in a public space, where I and everyone else can see
Let everyone see it and tell them that I gave it to you
Take care of this gift, if you value my gesture of giving
Depending on how you use, protect and appreciate it
I may give you another one - next year
This gift is MINE, I mean yours from me
I love the gift but am placing it in your care”

A Son – Given
But then I lost Him
I lost what was given
Hopeless, Powerless because I was not entitled to Him

What’s yours cannot be taken away – right…
Only what you have been entrusted with – Temporarily

The worst - In my case…Happened!
God took him back!
I lost my...Nah
I DID NOT LOSE HIM!

I did not lose him, like you would your coins
Or one of your socks
I did not lose him, like a set of keys
Or maybe even your cellphone that rocks
You can after-all trace it back…

His gone back to his owner, His creator, My God
The same that formed Him and gave Him to us

A son, Our son, His son

The worst - Happened!
