Appoint Me, Move Me, Mold Me, Break Me, Make me, Annoint Me…

The 2nd piece about the #Nhlamulo experience
 Appoint Me,

Move Me,

Mold Me,

Break Me,

Make me,

Annoint Me…

Are you sure?
Do you really know what you mean?
Have you thought of the intricacies of being BROKEN
The prerequisite of being MADE is often to be BROKEN

What I now call the #Nhlamulo experience

In the Mafia, the Don is the one that gets to MAKE people
A “made-man” is thoroughly protected by the families code
He cannot be touched, even when he messes up
He has the right to whack anyone with overdue beef
He is Made!
He has reached the peak
His Completed …by the Don in that case

Christ’s only promise to Peter, James & John: “…Follow me and I will MAKE you fishers of men Lk 5:1-11
The promise was only fulfilled when He left
Only after His death & resurrection, could they Fish for men
The process of making was complete
They got through being Broken and were now Made

But – Are you Sure? Are you Ready?

Appoint Me -  The first act was when He Appointed them into following Him
So we should seek to FOLLOW because we’ve been Appointed

Move Me – They immediately left their nets and walked towards Him
They were moved by his actions and therefore took action to Move towards him.

Mold me – Their walk with Jesus was characterized by many lessons, parables and rebukes
The walked with Him and heeded his word which then Molded Them, Fashioned them to disciples
Disciples who would one day become Apostles. Discipleship precedes Apostleship.
You need to be Disciplined before you can be Sent – Mold Me!

Break me -  The lowest point of their walk was when they realized and received His prophetic death
They suffered loss of someone they loved, a bosom to lie on, a shoulder to cry on,
a friend indeed, a teacher, master, rabbi and father.
They revered him and bore testimony to his transfiguration and now they were BROKEN.
Their light had gone out and the world was potentially a dark place, a lonely place, a place of sorrow and        no recourse.
They longed to be with Him, to see him again, to hear his voice and warm assuring embrace.
Before the world mourned, they were hit with this heavy loss. They were BROKEN!

Are you sure – You want to be Broken!
bro·ken (brō′kən): Past participle of break.
Forcibly separated into two or more pieces; fractured:
Having been violated
Incomplete: a broken set of books.
Being in a state of disarray; disordered: troops fleeing in broken ranks.
uneven: broken terrain.
Subdued totally; humbled: a broken spirit.
Weakened and infirm: broken health.
Crushed by grief: died of a broken heart.
Not functioning; out of order: a broken washing machine.

WHY would you want to be Broken?
Why would anyone want to be - BROKEN?

It may possibly be because…
Out of the process of being Broken
Comes out the grown you,
You came, you saw and now can conquer
It completely depends on your position
when You #seektosee and find Him
He then gets you to place of fruitfulness
Where you see the lessons learnt
Whilst you were wallowing in tears - You learnt how to swim
Whilst you were regretting your past – You learnt from it and won’t repeat mistakes

The best lessons are emotional
I frown at people who always say it’s not personal
Let’s make it personal, so that it can mean that much more
I want lessons I cannot forget
Not half baked solutions that I forget immediately after
I am not bitter but experienced

I cannot be care-free
I cannot chase quantity because quality is better

Shout - Make ME!

Only God can make a legend from a simple man
Sometimes it takes being Broken
But preceded by being, Appointed, Moved and perhaps Molded
I can testify with passion because I have been broken and now I am made

I am Made aNew
A new creation
Fit for purpose

Now Lord – Annoint Me

Oh Lord you’ve broken me
You Made Me
Now Annoint Me

Annoint Me to Enable me
To tell my Story
To Enlarge Your Territory
To speak like you
and live like you

To Present you to the lost
Represent you at all costs

Annoint Me but First…

Appoint Me, Move Me, Mold Me, Break Me, Make me, Annoint Me…
